Autonomous Vehicle Deployment Tracker

A current, source-backed view of U.S. autonomous vehicle fleets, operator markets, and industry developments.

United States

Active Fleet Size by Operator

“Active fleet” means vehicles currently assigned to an operator fleet or estimated to be operating/testing—not vehicles merely permitted, registered as capacity, privately owned, or announced for future delivery. It does not imply every vehicle is simultaneously carrying passengers or operating driverlessly.

Historical coverage

Estimated U.S. active fleet over time

A national disclosure resets that operator’s total. Later verified state growth—such as added Texas VINs—is applied only as a delta above the state baseline captured at the anchor date.

This is a source-coverage series, not a claim of continuous daily census. Derived allocations are excluded; first-time state observations establish a baseline, later growth adds to the anchor, and independently observed state totals remain a minimum when they exceed it.

Geographic footprint

Active AV fleet by state

Hover or focus on a state for its operator mix. Blue company rows open the market pages currently available in the tracker.

The map assigns 3,858 of 4,611 vehicles to sourced states; 753 remain explicitly unallocated from national disclosures.
